Blood On The Dance Floor – It's Happening Lyrics 12 years ago
Yet another song where he rips off Eminem.

Eminem - I know you want me baby, I think I want you too "I think I love you baby", I think I love you too
I want to save you girl, come be in Shady's world "Ooooh boy you drive me crazy", bitch you make me hurl...

BOTDF - Girl you drive me crazy, you can be my baby "Oh I love you boy" bitch I aint your toy

Of course he mixed them up and altered them, but the influence is OBVIOUS and if you say it's not you're wrong.

In "IDGAF" - You know that's what's up girl, I just wanna be your world, give you diamonds and pearls, you put my head in a whirl

There are a LOT more parallels in that song, and in others. It just shows he's unoriginal AND repetitive.

Blood On The Dance Floor – Looking Hot, Dangerous! Lyrics 12 years ago
I thought "IDGAF" was their only song that ripped off Eminem, but I was wrong. IF Dahvie says Eminem wasn't a big influence for him, he's a fucking liar because he warped and altered his lines in at least three or four songs. It's like he was trying to be some degenerate scene version of Eminem, until he turned into trying to be the new age scene Jesus.

Eminem - Straight from the hip, cut to the case, I tell a mothafuckin slut to her face
BOTDF - Cut to the chase, come get a taste, I'll tell a bitch straight to the face

There's more obvious parallels in "IDGAF" and "It's Happening".

Cage – Shoot Frank Lyrics 12 years ago
I love this song, but I always thought the lyrics were: "When I speak words that I don't mean, it's like how only in a cloud do I know what serene is."
I honestly still think it says that. It sounds like it to me, and it makes more sense with the metaphor he's using.
When he speaks words that he doesn't mean, it's because he isn't "in a cloud" so he doesn't know what serene is at the moment. That's why he speaks words he doesn't mean.
"I'm only in a cloud to wonder what serene is" makes sense on its own, but not with the metaphor.
It doesn't even sound like that to me. It annoys me because every lyric site has it this way, but I still think it's wrong.

What BOTDF "movement"? The movement of horrible music to promote more mindless, obnoxious behavior in impressionable teenagers? Let me guess, you think their song
"Believe" is meaningful. Well, it's a ripoff of Staind and it's garbage. I've written better lyrics in my sleep. They're better off sticking to this sexual trash, because at least then they know they're trash and don't try to pretend they have substance. I've opened up, I've widened my horizon, but I have to draw the line somewhere. I don't know anyone over 18 that listens to this trash, and of course the majority of their fanbase are girls. There is information about him fucking teenage girls in numerous places, but I don't feel like looking for it right now so find it yourself. Even Jeffree Star spoke out against Dahvie because of it. The phrase "Haters make me famous" is still fucking stupid. He's not "famous" because of the "haters", he is because of his stupid fanbase. If everyone felt like I did, he wouldn't have a fanbase and his "fame" would be worthless because everyone would realize he sucks and has no talent, and no one would want to listen to his music except to make fun of it or to show an example of the worst excuse for "music" out there. Maybe he is a "genius" because he preys on impressionable teenage girls that have no idea what music or meaning is. He could fart on a track, and you would call it art. Sad.

Lupe Fiasco – Letting Go Lyrics 12 years ago
I'm not sure if this is what he meant, but it's what I get out of it. I see it as more letting go of the image of self, the ego. For him, it probably has to do with his involvement in the music industry, but I feel like I can relate to it in a more general sense. It's sort of like stripping back the layers of the role or roles you're playing, and just getting to the source and seeing things without that filter of self image. I believe songs can have different layers of meanings, and this song definitely resonated with me in a deep way.

I'm not a Christian, but I am spiritual and this song still completely fits. It's about existence beyond the physical realm, and I definitely perceive that. I don't think in terms of "Heaven", "God", etc. but still can completely relate to this song.

ALL of their songs suck. BOTDF didn't screw up, their parents did for not having abortions. I'd rather shove knives in my ears than listen to any of their garbage ever again. You know what else would make sense in your eyes? Dahvie's cumshot when he rapes you because you're a teenage twat that doesn't know shit about music and what's real.

Ah, new comments. This should be fun. First of all I do have a sense of humor, but I don't find their lyrics funny because I'm not in fifth grade. I mean, I could see someone who just took Sex Ed class giggling about someone mentioning breasts in a song, but as for grown ass people who have enough experience in the area... it's not funny. You like BMTH, AA, and BFMV? Wow that's pretty surprising, I mean I never would have thought BOTDF fans would have such diverse taste in music like listening to every other shitty generic band that every other emo scene kid worships. Congratulations.

Now, Anastasia... thank you so much for your eye opening perspective. I never thought of just not listening to them... I guess that means I should delete all the BOTDF songs from my playlist. Why didn't I think of that before?! LOLOL. Yeah, Dahvie lives for his fans... considering they're all 11-14 year old girls that he proceeds to fuck on tour. I'm sure he doesn't care about fame, that's why his motto is "Haters make me famous." They'll never sign to a record label, because no record label would want to lower their standards to sign them. If their music isn't stupid and meaningless, show me a song of theirs with meaning. I'm not wasting my time because this is entertainment to me, whereas you are the one getting butthurt. You say the fans 'could care less' what I think, yet you're desperately defending them? I'm glad I annoyed you, and for the record my gay friend thinks Dahvie Vanity's a faggot too.

Copying doesn't mean it's going to be exact. Obviously he twisted the words around and added his own, but it's still copying. It's not just one part, and it's not a coincidence. When I first heard this song my first thought was Superman, then after looking into it further I discovered it was more like Eminem's song than I originally thought. Have you even heard the song Superman? It's not about superheroes, it's about women. In a sense it is about not giving a fuck, specifically regarding women and relationships. That is not all IDGAF is about, but it doesn't change the fact that he twisted Eminem's lyrics and sung his slightly altered ones in the same rhythm. He didn't want it to be obvious, so it's subtle but people who know Eminem would notice. The reason I mentioned his name is because you were claiming that calling yourself "royalty" is not vain, yet he admits to being vain and calls himself "royalty" thus making your point invalid. So what if he sounds the same live? It doesn't take any talent to do what he does, and he has no substance. He isn't "good", he's just a self absorbed little boy with an over inflated ego and nothing to back it up except legions of teenage girls who are brainwashed into thinking he is some sort of god because he proclaims himself to be. The so called music they make is trashy, obnoxious, and meaningless. If you want to enjoy it, go ahead but don't pretend it has any sort of substance or merit.

Whether or not he raped that specific girl, it's known that he generally fucks lots of teenage girls on tour. He has several statutory rape charges against him, and Jeffree Star has even spoken out against him after witnessing his behavior on tour.

Fame does not equal worth. The whole "haters" trend is getting really annoying. Haters made Hitler famous. You can be famous and still suck. I'd rather not be famous than be known for making horrible music and just generally being a self obsessed twat who fucks teenage girls on tour. Stating my opinion on something is not whining. Want a medal because you don't talk shit about bands you don't like? No one cares. I'm not saying bad things about them because I want to feel special. I'm saying them because they're true, and it's too bad if you don't want to hear it. Some songs sound alike in certain areas, but this song is a blatant copy and denying that doesn't make it untrue. In case you were unaware, you are defending a band who's front man calls himself Dahvie VANITY, and saying it's not vain. My favorite music actually has substance and original content, so that comparison is irrelevant.

Thank you, XxtomiseryxX. I agree with you 100%.
Lmfao @ Shyke. "I call myself royalty because I'm better than you." Hahahaha. Not talking shit about a band that you hate doesn't make you 'better', and it certainly doesn't make you 'royalty'. I 'talk shit' about this band because it's fucking horrible, and probably the only band out that I can truly say I hate passionately. I'm just educating you faggots on how unoriginal they are that they have to rip off other artists. In case you were unaware, this is not a website specifically intended for BOTDF and their fans. This is a general website that contains lyrics, and has a comment section for people to comment on the lyrics. I commented that the lyrics are ripping off Eminem. If you can't admit that, you're in denial.
"Suck it"? Suck what? From your post, I can conclude that you are indeed a little girl and therefore have nothing to suck. "Uhhmmmm... I'm not whiney *whine whine whine*" Stfu, you whiny little girl. Least whiny in your group of friends? You mean the rest of the 14 year old emo girls you hang out with? Congratulations.
Scenefag logic goes like this: "u hate me cuz yer jealous. yer jealous cuz i'm better. i'm better cuz i'm not a hater."
You're living in a fantasy world, kid. Wake up. People hate obnoxious vain little twats who make horrible music for other obnoxious vain little twats. No one is jealous of you, and you are better than no one. So you can take your tiara and you can shove it your pussy. That goes for you too, beastbiotch!(:

I didn't want to post again, but damn. This should be the last one.

Eminem - I want to save you girl, come be in Shady's world, "ooh boy you drive me crazy", bitch you make me hurl

I just showed my friend, and she pointed out another similar lyric that I had failed to notice.

Eminem - We'll be friends, I'll call you again, I'll chase you around every bar you attend, never know what kind of car I'll be in, we'll see how much you'll be partying then

BOTDF - Can we just be friends, I promise I'll call again, please don't turn into a lesbian, we will party til the end

Blood On The Dance Floor – IDGAF Lyrics 13 years ago
This song is a complete ripoff of Eminem's "Superman". Listen to both songs and you can tell the rapping style is nearly identical in some parts. Check out these lyrics:

Eminem - I'll never let another chick bring me down in a relationship, save it bitch
BOTDF - I'm royalty bitch, never gave a shit, relationships, fuck that shit

Eminem - I don't wanna flip when I see you with guys, too much pride between you and I, not a jealous man but females lie
BOTDF - I don't wanna flip when I see you with a dude, another jealous mess that ain't cool

Eminem - Straight from the hip, cut to the case, I tell a mothafuckin slut to her face
BOTDF - Straight to the hips, up on your tits, oh my god you're just so perfect

It's not just the unquestionable lyrical parallels, it's that they say them in the same exact rhythm and style that Eminem did.

I bet fans of this horrible band will get defensive and insult Eminem, but guess what? Without Eminem, you wouldn't be able to listen to this crappy ripoff of a song because BOTDF are unoriginal faggots who rip off original artists. Eminem was, is, and always will be better and a more respected artist than this shit band. FAIL.

I always thought this song was about drugs, until I saw the video. It would seem that it's about an orgy, but maybe it has a double meaning. "It's so much easier when sea foam green is in fashion" sounds like a drug reference to me.

Canibus – Levitibus Lyrics 13 years ago
"if you can find a better flow then I can find a dinosaur on the Galapagos archipelago"
That line cracks me up for some reason.

I also love the line, "the dreamstate is the playground for the supreme".

I don't claim to understand everything Canibus raps about, but he definitely gets you thinking. That's why Canibus isn't mainstream--the masses prefer not to think.
