| I think this song is about the obvious: drunk girls. But I think it's more interesting that he goes a bit deeper than that. I think its about drunkness reflecting true human nature instead of people conforming to social norms. For example when he says "Just 'cause I'm shallow doesn't mean that I'm heartless", I think he is saying that just because hes going after attractiveness doesn't mean hes a bad person. He then follows that up with "Just 'cause I'm heartless doesn't mean that I'm mean" is referencing that even though he may be heartless in terms of not wanting a relationship with the women he is fraternizing with, he isn't being mean, as both parties (drunk girl and himself) want the physical release that comes with, for lack of a better term, hooking up. | |
