Taylor Swift – Haunted Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I love this song so much. This and Better Than Revenge both remind me of Paramore's songs. I love how she's sort of changing her song image a bit, but keeping it the same at the same time. Does that make sense? |
Taylor Swift – Last Kiss Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Also, the introduction is 27 seconds long. As we all know he dumped her in a 27 second phone call. |
Taylor Swift – Last Kiss Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Someone took what I was gonna say :( This song is totally about Joe Jonas. |
Taylor Swift – Speak Now Lyrics | 13 years ago |
She said she wrote it because she was sitting with a friend at a wedding, and when they got to the 'Speak now or forever hold your peace' or whatever, she sat there thinking 'Are you going to speak now...? So all this stuff sparked up about Hayley and Josh because Taylor went with Hayley to the wedding ect ect. I personally don't know |
Paramore – Fences Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I know it's already been said, but I do think this is about celebrities like Lindsay and Paris and Britney and so on and so forth. I'm sitting in a room Made up of only big white walls and in the hall There are people looking through the window in the door They know exactly what we're here for Don't look up Just let them think there's no place else you'd rather be When you're famous, you're in the spotlight all the time. Everyone's looking at you. So you've just got to act normal and like you're born for this. (Paramore quote!) You're always on display For everyone to watch and learn from Don't you know by now you can't turn back? Because this road is all you'll ever have You're always gonna be in the spotlight. But when celebs make mistakes, the rest of the world learns from them, and most of the time the celebrity doesn't. Once you're famous, you're always gonna be recognised. You can't turn back. And it's obvious that you're dying, dying Just living proof that the camera's lying And open wide, cause this is your night So smile, cause you'll go out in style You'll go out in style When celeberities are upset about something, they've got to keep smiling to look good for the cameras. So just smile and everything will stay the same. If you let me I could I'd show you how to build your fences Set restrictions, separate from the world The constant battle that you hate to fight Just blame the limelight Don't look up Just let them think there's no place else you'd rather be I think Hayley is saying that other singers and actors should look at her and be more like her. Basically, try to keep your private life private and stop looking for trouble. Yeah, yeah, you're asking for it With every breath that you breathe in Just breathe it in Yeah, yeah, well, you're just a mess You do all this big talk, yeah So now let's see you walk it I said let's see you walk it A lot of celebrities do stupid things, for example wearing no underwear... Hayley is saying that they're looking for trouble but in the long run, they're going to regret it. |
Kate Nash – Mariella Lyrics | 13 years ago |
No, I'm pretty sure she says 'at that age' because they're all young, not because Mariella herself is too young. |
Kate Nash – Mariella Lyrics | 13 years ago |
No, I'm pretty sure she says 'at that age' because they're all young, not because Mariella herself is too young. |

LOL. |
Paramore – Ignorance Lyrics | 13 years ago |
...Are you deliberatly ignoring what everyone has just said? |
Paramore – Ignorance Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Stop being so damn ignorant. You've been proven wrong, you know you're wrong, so why do you continue to argue? |
Paramore – Ignorance Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Oh for God's sake, stop assuming stuff. Not every paramore song is a love song, believe it or not. THIS SONG IS NOT ABOUT HER AND JOSH, IF YOU FAIL TO SEE THAT I DON'T WANT TO HEAR YOUR CRAP. This is about THE BAND. Hayley said it herself. |
Lily Allen – Him Lyrics | 14 years ago |
i'm not really here to discuss white v black or america v england. i'm just here to discuss the song meaning and that's what i'm going to do. well, i'm not 100% sure of what this song is about, but from what i've heard i don't think it's partically litterally about George W Bush. actually, really i sort of do. that's confusing... but tbh i really think it is her singing about God, but it's sort of aimed at George. argh. let me explain. Would you please take me away from this place I cannot bear to see the look upon your faces And if there is some kind of god do you think he's pleased When he looks down on us I wonder what he sees when God looks down at us, what does he see? as in, does he see a nicely run earth or a broken society? Do you think he'd think the things we do are a waste of time Maybe he'd think we are getting on just fine Do you think he's skint or financially secure And come election time I wonder who he'd vote for who does he (God) think is right in this situation, as in is George right? who would he vote for? would he be supporting George in his actions? Ever since he can remember people have died in his good name Long before that September Long before hijacking planes He's lost the will he can't decide He doesn't know who's right or wrong But there's one thing that he's sure of this has been going on too long a lot of people have died in his (God's) name before 9/11, before all of those big disasters. he has no idea who is right here, is it George? (sorry i'm not mentioning anyone else apart from George, i honestly don't know much about politics and such.) but one thing he definatly does know is that this whole distruction and war has been going on wayyyy too long. Do you think he'd drive in his car without insurance Now is he interesting or do you think he'd bore us Do you think his favourite type of human is caucasian the car insurance thing i'm not too sure about, but maybe she's saying is he (God) really that perfect like George wants us to be? & the caucasian thing - that's a bit obvious, is he for or against racism? Do you reckon he's ever been done for tax evasion Do you think he's any good at remembering people's names Do you think he's ever taken smack or cocaine I don't imagine he's ever been suicidal His favourite band is Creedence Clearwater Revival the smack & cocaine, the suicidal thing and the tax thing is the same as the car insurance thing in my opinion (keep in mind i have no idea what evasion means...) & the names thing, i don't know. & i don't know anything about Creedence Clearwater Revival so i can't really say anything there. yeah, that's my opinion on the song. i'm not religious, but i'm just saying what i think Lily is trying to say. i honestly don't know. anyway, i hope i was a help in some way... |
Miley Cyrus – Party in the U.S.A. Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Alright, I'm not here to discuss her performances or singing or attitude. I'm just going to say what the song means, although it's pretty self-explanotry (don't know how to spell). 'I hopped off the plane at LAX With a dream and my cardigan Welcome to the land of fame excess Am I gonna fit in?' She has just arrived in LA, and is wondering if she's going to fit in this new world of fame. 'Jumped in the cab Here I am for the first time Look to my right And I see the Hollywood sign This is all so crazy Everybody seems so famous' She's on her way to wherever she is going, and she's basically wondering 'Wow, this is all surreal... everyone seems so glamorous/rich/famous here.' 'My tummy's turnin' And I'm feelin' kinda homesick Too much pressure and I'm nervous That's when the taxi man turned on the radio And a Jay-Z song was on And a Jay-Z song was on And a Jay-Z song was on So I put my hands up They're playin' my song The butterflies fly away I'm noddin' my head like yeah Movin' my hips like yeah Got my hands up They're playin' my song I know I'm gonna be okay Yeah, it's a party in the USA Yeah, it's a party in the USA' She was very worried about how she would get on, and very nervous. But then 'her song' started playing, automatically making her feel more comfortable. 'Get to the club in my taxi cab Everybody's lookin' at me now Like, "Who's that chick that's rockin' kicks? She's gotta be from outta town" So hard with my girls not around me It's definitely not a Nashville party 'Cause all I see are stilettos I guess I never got the memo' She's arrived at this party or whatever, and is again feeling uncomfortable because she looks different to everyone else because everyone seems so glamorous. 'Feel like hoppin' on a flight Back to my hometown tonight Something stops me every time The DJ plays my song and I feel all right' She's wondering about going home again, but then her song plays and... you get the idea. That's what it means. I think. |
