U2 – Sunday Bloody Sunday Lyrics 16 years ago
I must apologize for my previous comment. i just googled it, and the original Bloody Sunday did occur in ireland. Logically, U2, being Irish, would sing about the Irish one, not the Russian one. I apologize for my stupidity and hypocracy.

U2 – Sunday Bloody Sunday Lyrics 16 years ago
You guys are ridiculous! this is about the Communist (Bolshevik) revolution in Russia in 1905! the Red Riots were beginning to break out in Russia at the time, and a large group of protestors met outside of the Tsar's winter Palace. The imperial guard fired i into the crowd, killing around 100 people, though some estimates count casualties into the thousands. This action caused the people to blame the current Tsar, Nicolas II, though he actually had nothing to do with the actions of the guards.

Coldplay – Viva la Vida Lyrics 16 years ago
Viva la Vida has always struck me as an overtly religious song. Why? i'm not totally sure, possibly it is only because, being a devout Christian, i search for religious meaning in just about everything. Bono once said that all music struck him as a type of gospel (not to liken myselg to the world's greatest rockstar) {rolling Stone Magazine}. Overal though, this is a beautiful song. the cello is incredible! so unlike anything i have heard by coldplay before!

U2 – Mothers Of The Disappeared Lyrics 16 years ago
This song is most definitely focused on the prisoners of the Dirty War in Argentina- not about the Chilean Regime. It is an incredible song (what on the Joshua Tree isn't?). The rhythym and everything is just perfect, and Bono's singing and the instrumental just hits home.
