one of my favourites i could still listen to it for daze 8^) btw... very true away666 the song IS about overcoming a serious mental illness. and the lyric 'gold is lead' means not being able to differentiate between the two spoons means medicine or some kinda drug assortment depending on how you view the patient the lyrics are written in a series of the patients progress in the song until he can finally see REAL EYES! haha |

The song is pretty much self-explanitory. A longing for that special one and conditioning yourself to be able to search for them before its too late. I'm not sure about the armadillo, but it completes the song. |

In the last verse "the children asked him if to kill was not a sin..." its like a narration, setting a scene "not when he looked so fierce" is one of the children pointing out the looks or beauty within an animal "his mommy butted in" bills mum butts in and kills this animal "if looks could kill it would've been us instead of him!" is both bill and his mum showing that they are superior as humans in their understanding that you can't trust wild animals in the jungle |
