Simian Mobile Disco – Audacity of Huge Lyrics | 14 years ago |
LOL @ 'audacity of huge x a billion' |
Jack Penate – Every Glance Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Correct lyrics: You said I was free to do what I wanted, I believed you, I received you, I did You stood above me watching my words then cut them down, No one noticed, no one protested, silent manners. Take your hands from my shoulders and let me stand, I've been trying my hardest to be a man. Your focused fingers form a force to reckon with, A point with power come one, carelessness Your eyes can switch with every glance And when they catch me there's no chance, Medusa, Medusa. Take your hands from my shoulders and let me stand, I've been trying my hardest to be a man. Take your hands off my shoulders and let me stand, I've been trying my hardest to be a man. A coward, a bully, a coward, a thief. A liar, a bully, a coward, a thief My skin is crawling my confidence falling My skin is crawling my confidence falling My skin is crawling my confidence.. Take your hands from my shoulders and let me stand, I've been trying my hardest to be a man. Take your hands off my shoulders and let me stand, I've been trying my hardest to be a man. Oh and great song. I think it's about being undermined by someone constantly. I get the feeling Jack is talking about an authorative figure. |
Lily Allen – Back to the Start Lyrics | 15 years ago |
The music at the beginning of this really reminds me of Patrick Wolf's 'Accident and Emergency.' Anyone else get that? |
Frank Turner – Sunshine State Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Oh how does this song have no comments. |
The King Blues – Let's Hang The Landlord Lyrics | 15 years ago |
'A couple of years ago a tramp at Piccadilly he told me how I'm gonna die' Isn't it, 'a couple of years ago a tramp at Piccadilly told me Aaron had died.' ? Seems to make more sense. |
Los Campesinos! – You! Me! Dancing! Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I get a strong Le Tigre reference when he says 'bedroom dancing.' |
Late of the Pier – Bathroom Gurgle Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Amaaaaaazing song, makes you wanna dance. Haha I agree with 'undistinguishable' part to most of the lyrics. Possibly talk of a break up ? but a happy dirty synth electro break up. |
Foals – Big Big Love (Fig. 1) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
scrap that.wont let me delete the comment. lyrics are correct, although do not sound anything like it! still best song on the album. i think it means something about a relationship that saves someone from disillusion? |
Foals – Big Big Love (Fig. 1) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
and these lyrics aren't correct. there is definitely something about 'fell all the times we fell' or 'fail all the times we fail' or 'fell all the times we fail' haha hard to decipher but pretty sure its one of them! |
Foals – Big Big Love (Fig. 1) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Best song on the album, hands down. |
Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly – Call Me Ishmael Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Totally got the possible 'Fight Club' reference from this. |
Baz Luhrmann – Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Does anyone know the reference of the line about 'blindsiding you on some idle tuesday' ? I've always been curious to as what the writer meant by that, |
Foals – Balloons Lyrics | 16 years ago |
hahaha i thought it was something to do with 'steel' too |
Foals – Cassius Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Good Shoes – Morden Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Ah I met the lead singer last night, he is a really nice guy. |
Good Shoes – Morden Lyrics | 16 years ago |
The lyric is definitely 'a superdrug and a kfc' because in the video they have random shots of Morden and when he sings that line they have a Superdrug and Kfc next to each other. I have heard the version with Wilkinsons though, which is a tad confusing? For all the people knocking it, the song is subjective..it's his take on Morden. Also one of my friends suggested 'Morden' is a play on the word 'modern' (I do know they are from Morden) which would take this song to a more complex level. It's a pretty safe bet that people from these general areas, particularly in London, can relate to this song. Society IS more shit. Oh and Aoarc1etc, he actually says, '50 Pound ShopS' implying in an exaggerated sense that their are numerous Poundlands and suchlike (the video also shows a pound shop). Doesn't really imply an expensive culture, more the opposite. As for 'staring at the Government not noticing the Queen' I'm baffled. Possibly an idea that people look towards the Government for their money, poking fun at the Sponger state? The Queen bit is mehh though. As for the person that said they sound like Artic Monkeys just LOL. Go away. Thanks. Good Shoes are ok, abit different to the same old indie; I enjoy them. |
Faithless – Crazy English Summer Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song seems to be about nostalgia, regret and relief. It takes the listener on a whirlwind of emotion. Faithless' best song, ('yeah i said it!) and their best kept secret. |
Chicane – Autumn Tactics Lyrics | 16 years ago |
There isn't much meaning to this song, apart from the passing of time portrayed through the seasons. Every bit as haunting as 'No Ordinary Morning.' Chicane's trippy music plus a female vocalist is always something guarenteed to work. Not so much with male vocalists. Listen to 'Turning Corners' haha. Not so good. |
Chicane – No Ordinary Morning Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Oh the video for this is awful though. Such a beautiful song, with such an anti-climatic video. |
Chicane – No Ordinary Morning Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Ignorance was bliss |
Pilot Speed – Alright Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song is going to be huge. 'The road ahead is lined with broken dreams' Amazing. |
