The National – I Need My Girl Lyrics 9 years ago
I know i was a 45%er then is what i hear and it reminds me of regretting being less than "half-ass" in the effort I put into a relationship that I took for granted at the time but in being lonely and going through a difficult time, regretting having that attitude back then, just my take

Just read DMT: The Spirit Molecule and the incidence of DMT trips with the presence of other worlds and other life forms while under the influence of psychodelic drugs, lsd being a very close relative of the short acting DMT, a substance found naturally in the human braind and in many organic lifeforms and the tangebile third eye, that of the pineal gland!

Tool – Lipan Conjuring Lyrics 14 years ago
well as a native american, (akwasasne mohawk, wolf clan) and a huge fan of tool, I do not know these spiritual beings to mock another culture without a certain significance. Has anyone read DMT: The Spirit molecule? I think this is an important perspective to obtain for any die-hard tool fan, fuck, Alex Grey's art work is on the cover and inside too, that should say something!

Puscifer – Momma Sed Lyrics 15 years ago
you know a broken heart can kill a man. Think about how much the idea of rejection or lost love fucks with some people. I can only speak for myself but when a man or a human being travels through life we put our hearts into things and to get our hearts broken our dreams smashed we have to just keep goin and not get all self destructive and self pitied out about it, a very simple message really one that i think most mothers if not teachers will pass on to their children, failure and mistakes happen, there is always tommorow so fuck it dont dwell on pain push throught it, pain is an illusion as maynard once put it in a familiar tool song, we are eternal and of one consciousness we are not alone but as one, life is healing and all healing is essentially the release from fear.......

Tool – Faaip de Oiad Lyrics 15 years ago
Very interesting how this album can take on such meanings and encompasses the fragile and yet harmonious balance of the experiences of living and dying life and death. In a very basic way the way is to experience it with fascination and with a renewed sense of wonder as the darkness of our minds can sometimes overshadow what is great about our journey, as we journey towards the light there is always a force which pulls us downward so we must create, we must become inspired we must do good and search out souls and reach for a deeper connectedness lest we be wiped out by some alien force

I just seen tool earlier this month in Albany and they opened with jambi, it was great, i snuck in a recording device and got it all on tape, its great maynard stretched the vocals in the beginning of it so it sounded different than the album version but very satisfying

Tool – H. Lyrics 17 years ago
I heard H. live either in Binghampton or syracuse NY I forget which one but it friggin rocked live!!! Instead of repeating "I dont mind," he repeats the "HEY, HEY, HEy," that you hear in the background on the studio track it was a great live tool moment, neway this song always made me reflect on my particularly disfunctional relationships with significant others, and yes I have cried while listening to this song, Hey we are all gonna die after all of our emotional struggles, moments that feel like our world is collapsing around us, difficult break ups, when you feel like dying or crying but then you snap out of it, get a grip on your fear, your emltions and say you know what fuck it, I dont mind bring it on.

Tool – The Gaping Lotus Experience Lyrics 17 years ago
shutup, assholes taking LSD without knowing the right way to go about it, drug abuse along with excessive alcohol use gives you soul rot! Tools not pro-drug, these are people who have experienced life and seen what drug addiction can do to people, its the stuff that can kill the human spirit, we can be our own worst enemies. Trying to find the meaning of life and god and shit in a chemical substance is retarted monkey playing with itself!

Tool – Right in Two Lyrics 17 years ago
I am a senior sociology major in upstate NY and I just wanted to say that songs like these have given me inspiration throughout my enitre college career. I wrote my senior seminar project while listening to 10,000 days constantly especially right in two, which is my favorite song. Ive used Tools music as background in creating art, writing papers and even in inspiring me to continue to help people suffering from alcoholism and addiction and to build on my own spiritual journey through life. Now that Ive said that, I love the endless potential for meaning in this song, its been said Im sure but I believe that its the bands hope for all of us to make these songs our own in how we react to them and translate the message. Thats what makes it great, thats what makes it art! For me it was when I was senior in high school at the Tool show in Albany, NY, 2001. Maynard's message was for each individual in the audience to remember the feeling he/she was having to take it home with them and use it to create something that will heal everyone. This music has helped me recognize the trials and shortcomings of suffering from the human condition and how to keep going to see where we are wrong to see a bigger picture, to see everything fucked up and then to act upon it. The applications are endless. Ive seen this song translated in so many ways, of course all of them cant be right but many are backed with very interesting explanations why? the one that I am still unsure of is this part: they fight or they die, over what? _____________. this line right here, Ive read many possible lines but some dont really make that much sense can someone clear this up with uttmost certainty?
