Actually maewather, you have no grounds you misinformed dick. The Darjeeling Limited is a sorry, bad, movie- lacking the satirical meaninglessness of say Bottle Rocket and Rushmore (the redeeming quality that made them actually very good). It wasn't funny, it was just a contrived statement of cool using good imagery. Jason Bourne (The man himself I'm sure) is correct and good. |

The nitchze thing is interesting, the homo superior is a play on words. Not only does it mean a superior race of humans, but Bowie is that race. Homo (hah, gay) and superior. DUDE "drew" on the first page, you have seriously over-analyzed this song. Marcy is infact the school he went to, not some little girl he wants to molest. Seriously, I respect you for digging into song's lyrics, but no way its about that. I'm not generally into this kind of music, I'm more of an indie person, but this song is sweet! It puts me into a hazy state of mind, the singer is deffinately confused. "aclosefriend" has an interesting idea, but I'm not sure if it's correct either. I just think this song is random crap, but I love it. |

The singer is in love with a very individualistic girl, "she doesn't give a fuck." She's being rejected from society becuase of what she believes in, which isn't mentioned in the song specifically. I think esoteric_rubbish is right about the Christian symbolism too, she was willing to sacrifice everything she had and live poorly for what she believe in, and that is why the singer is in love with her. |

(my theory) Ian wrote this so it means whatever the listener makes it out to be. He purposely makes it that vague. I'd imagine this song refers to his sad state of depression and epilepsy, which is why the lyrics have so much heart; they are real. Ian sung from the soul, but managed to title his feelings just so vaguely to cap other people's feelings as well. This song is sad yet brilliant, and Ian Curtis was an amazing musician. |
