At least at the very end of it, when you're realizing it's love (if you're one of those people that don't admit it), and it just reminds you of generally everything. I don't know. I guess maybe hoping that this time you don't blow it and it works out for good. High hopes. | |

My guess (which is most likely incorrect) would be that he is in love with someone that maybe loves him but like everyone else said--can't admit it or whatever. Another side is that perhaps he doesn't love this person. Maybe he's realizing that she's not worth it or she's not the person he thought she'd be. "Just stand there, you could never make me go through it. The congas, they’re bleeding through his bit-battle wounds." And towards the end, maybe the whole "cat call" or whatever means that he can't like her anymore. Maybe he's had enough and is subtly throwing in the towel. MAYBE. OR, perhaps he's just coming to terms with the fact that he'll never be loved the way he loves by that person. |
