i absolutely love this song. i think its about starting anew in a different town. its like hes looking for a new love, and tells himself not to mess it up again, and that hes grown up now from what happened before. great opening to the new album, eric's voice sounds a little different, but still great. |

this is my favorite song off their new album. when i heard it i knew immediately. i think this about how easily someone can fall for someone, and how that feeling isnt always shared, that feeling of something special. however, he looks back and realizes it doesnt mean much, all those little things he thought were special doesnt count for much. its about how relationships can easily start and end, and sometimes you cant do anything but wait. |

theres some lyrics missing, like the line "sometimes i hold you right, nice and tight." this perfectly captures the feeling when you try to be there for someone, and it just doesnt satisfy them. sometimes it does and those moments are special, and then its just questionable whether or not its working. |

its about life and its uncertainty with its changes. he is torn with his decisions. and this girl is on his mind, and obviously affecting his decisions. i think he is just going to leave his town, la cienega, represents something he is familiar with but has to leave to deal with these changes. this is a great song. it truly describes how much these changes affect us, how much you can care for someone, and how much it can hurt and how scared you can feel about someone. it hits home. |

its about a guy who cares for this girl. who knows how she feels about him, he doesnt know either, hence the chance. but apparently she doesnt care about him. and now he must go on with his life, yet he is better now for going through this, hes become almost a stronger person for understanding this and realizes hes better without her and her crap. this song is excellent. it really describes how things can turn sour. it hits home for me. and i like how the wrens address something so real and not just some cliche love song. |

for me, its about a guy whos questioning this girl, this girl who comes back into his life. and things once again become complicated and now he realizes that she just used him again yet he finds himself again feeling bad about her and what she did to him. i can relate to this song. its great. |
