Call me stupid or whatever but I always thought the lyrics were: i know i'll do the right thing if the right thing isn't feel???? I live in Florida and this song never came out in my area. I call the radio stations to request it and they say they won't play it, it is a west coast song???? Oh well - I still have the CD - Love this song!! |

I think he is saying in this song that she had better run away (go away) or else he is going to lose it. The relationship is over and there is no reason for her to be there anymore. I just saw them live in St. Pete, FL and damn did they put on a great show. I didn't know of them before but I did after that. Check them out when you can get a chance. |

This song to me means the girl has cheated again and she confessed and swears she'll never do it again, but he doesn't believe her. I think when he says behind those eyes - it means what she is thinking in her head. He knows she is lying but there is still a smile and a warm look in her eyes. She puts on a total front of innocence but he is starting to see through it. Great song - I just saw them live on Saturday for about the 10th time. They keep getting better and better. |

I think the song is about someone that has had a troubled life and doesn't really feel the need to explain it. He only wants you to see him for him. I also think it's saying from having such a troubled life he feels the need to act out and when he does he burns bright, but when he tries to do good he just shuts his eyes because it doesn't feel right. I saw them a few weeks ago in ft myers and they were probably one of the best live bands i've ever listened to. The crowd's reaction was different than any i've ever seen. Definitely my fav staind song. I think it means that he is looking at a friend or someone and they are acting like they are innocent and have never hurt someone to get something or to get somewhere in life. He is saying hey look i know i stepped on people and hurt people to get here, how bout you? I check on this website every so often to see what other people say and I can't believe only 4 posts for this song. I love this song because it really makes me want to accept my own faults and wrong-doings. |

Well i've known of Chevelle since 98 or 99 I can't remember exactly, but i was at a huge weekend concert called livestock. They were on a small side stage some one hit wonder band was on the big main stage, and when they started playing the whole audience turned to them and started thrashing. I've listened to them ever since. Internet wasn't as popular then so it was very hard to find their music. (they definitely didn't have a web-site) Anyways I see them every chance I get - I just saw them a couple of weekends ago in ft lauderdale and they still rock just as hard as the first time. As far as the clincher I think the song means several things. A combo of personal and religous experiences to form one bad ass song. ROCK ON!! |
