i loove this song and in my opinion its one of the best songs ever written...not just cuzza the music but the meaning...and u know... that is really wut its all about. and all this arguing about it is actually a bit sad because your fighting...over a song written to bring people together, regardless of everything else. and..i agree with scheisse to some extent...they've got good points...about how u know that'd be great if that was how it was but its not...and maybe that was something Lennon wanted to say...that u know..hey look us...u know...and the whole religon thing...u know...maybe. maybe its just to live and be happy. but...no more arguing. and...whether ur a huge Lennon fan and know all about him..or whether u just like the song, if you heard the song you would at least understand that arguing and fighting is exactly what he didnt want and what the song is saying not to do..."a BROTHERHOOD OF MAN...imagine all the people..SHARING ALL THE WORLD yooouu you may say that im a dreamer, but im not the only one...i hope some day you'll join us and THE WORLD WILL LIVE AS ONE"

Well i dunno why Jimi wrote this song...but im a fan of him and i love this song. it makes me feel like everythings gonna be alright for reals. like ther r songs that make u feel good but this is somethin else. i feel similar bout little wing |

I agree with GunMetal. He wrote it about a dream he had were he was walking underwater.and...i love him as well as many many others but i must admit he did acid all the time and he died cuzza his own vomit...and...yeah it doesnt matter cuz hes the greatest guitarist who ever lived. and we can learn from his mistakes and be inspired by his gift from god (his skills with a guitar) |

after looking at everyones comments i think...that ur either gonna like this song or ur not...and whether they were on drugs or not or whether they meant for it to be good or whether they meant for it to be bad or whether they meant for it to be childish..thats up to you. it also seems like the people who like it, tie it to a special memory or person...maybe if u heard it while with a person u like it is good to your ears...i personally like it. it reminds me of a good friend and it always makes her smile. |
