XTC – Poor Skeleton Steps Out Lyrics 18 years ago
I think Poor Skeleton is more our common humanity. You know, inside we're really the same, even if we're different races/classes, etc. All that cliche stuff.

XTC – The Ballad Of Peter Pumpkinhead Lyrics 18 years ago
Crash Test Dummies cover better? That is sacrelige. Krackonis must be burned.

Also, according to Andy, it's not about any particular person, not even JFK. Peter Pumpkinhead was the name of a jack-o-lantern he had carved, and, in typical quirky Andy fashion, he decided the gourd should be a hero in a song. The song is just about a general sort of too-good-for-his-own-good type.

Gorillaz – Clint Eastwood Lyrics 18 years ago
I always took this song as a standard sort of song that every rapper/rap group seems to have; in the words of MC Paul Barman, "brag rhymes". You know the type "I'm the best, all y'all better recognize my intrinsic superiority, fools".

You're thinking of the demo version, released on Homespun. The album version is as above.

XTC – No Language In Our Lungs Lyrics 19 years ago
I love this song. As cliche as it sounds, I really identify with it. I've often had that infuriating feeling that I can't express in words what I want to say. Not to mention it's a wonderful piece of music.

XTC – English Roundabout Lyrics 19 years ago
I actually read somewhere, I believe it was in Song Stories, that this didn't refer to an actual roundabout. I can't remember what it is about, though.

XTC – Am I The Kind Of Girl Who Could Be Your Girlfriend? Lyrics 19 years ago
http://chalkhills.org/reelbyreal/s_Kinda.html#lyrics

It was co-written by Andy Partridge for Cathy Dennis' album. It probably doesan't belong here, really, but it is (sort of) XTC lyrics.
