As a Christain, I'm not really offended by this song. I can completely sympathize with MJK. The whole fact that he feels God took away his mother is saddening. I question everything around me. I question faith, and my faith gets even more stronger. I think this song could be metaphorical for alcohol, drugs, enabling girlfriends, marriage, parents, you name it. I still think the christ isn't literally christ. |

This song really hits deep with me. I can really identify with Maynard on this particular issue. I just lost my grandmother about a year ago, and I totally love this song. I don't know why I pushed this song off for such a long time. Anyway, sitting here listening to the song and reading the lyrics, I almost was brought to tears. It was almost summer break when she died. She didn't suffer for 10,000 days, but it did feel like it. I can remember visiting almost every week, and she kept getting worse every time. I think the line "time for you to go home" did it for me. Another song that does this for me is "Dust in the wind". Last song she ever heard me sing. Anyway, great song. |

the lyrics are wrong. its not "it dosent seem to be complete" it is "it dosent seem to be conveyed by way" its a good song to actually start up the album this is one of my favorites on Demon Days next to Feel Good Inc. and Kids with Guns. I think it kind of means that people dont act human anymore. |
