Ray LaMontagne – Write You a Letter Lyrics | 14 years ago |
If I told you how I'm feeling And how my heart was always reeling Then maybe you could understand me a little better If I was to write you a letter And if I told you how I worry Isn't how I always seem to hurry And maybe you would understand me a little better If I was to write you a letter |

historically, carpetbagger is a derrogatory term for an exploiter who does not remain in one place. |
Jenny Lewis – Acid Tongue Lyrics | 17 years ago |
in the live versions i've heard it's "i've seen enough of my friends in the depths of the godsick blues" & "i was a little drunk". also, in one version i have it definitely sounds like "no snake or cure" but on the internet, everyone is saying it's "no simple cure", which would make more sense. anyways, this is definitely my favourite song that i have seen/heard jenny lewis perform. rumour has it that it will be a rilo kiley song. |

so amazing live. |
Bob Dylan – One of Us Must Know (Sooner or Later) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I think he's in a real relationship with another woman. He's spending time with the woman in this song, maybe a friend, & they spend a night, maybe a few, together - "you just happened to be there, that's all". this woman is taking this all more seriously than dylan, or whoever the narrarator of this song is. |
Jenny Lewis – Cold Jordan (Traditional cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
it's not originally a grateful dead song. it's an old, old folk song that lots of people have covered. grateful dead, emmylou harris, etc. |
Bright Eyes – When the President Talks to God Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Phil Collins – Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
The Postal Service & Gavin DeGraw have done covers of this song. Gavin's is particularly good. |
Bright Eyes – If Winter Ends Lyrics | 19 years ago |
The genuine emotion in this song is unbelievable. I'm seeing Bright Eyes in January; to hear this live would be amazing. |
The Smashing Pumpkins – Blank Page Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Personally, this song strikes me as one's regrets about breaking up with someone. They realize they treated them badly, and that perhaps it was a mistake to end it. When they realize this, it's all too late. The other person has found someone new, and moved on. blank page is all the rage never meant to say anything.. looking for you at the five and dime stop sign told me stay at home told me you were not alone.. you haven't changed you're still the same.. you are the ways of my mistakes.. you remind me of that leak in my soul.. take a day, plant some trees may they shade you from me.. but there I was picking pieces up you are a ghost of my indecision |
Red House Painters – Ruth Marie Lyrics | 19 years ago |
