Mariah Carey – It's Like That Lyrics 19 years ago
LOL yeah it's a good line; puts a smile on my face. I assume she's talkin' about the bimbos who are all dry and boring (hence, like "ash"), whereas she's smooth like lotion.

Lauryn Hill – Water Lyrics 22 years ago
I feel like she was singing about God. In the intro to the song, she speaks of the song being about what she went through after she rebelled. The lyrics themselves have a sort of reference to divine intervention.

Lee Ann Womack – I Hope You Dance Lyrics 22 years ago
This song is very touching, in that it feels like it's from the point of view of an older more mature person, to a beloved someone younger and inexperienced. It speaks of passing down wisdom and giving an account of regret.

Yes, and you can't compare them. One's classical, and the other's contemporary. Oh well, to each his own.

Sarah McLachlan – Angel Lyrics 22 years ago
Yes, this is a beautiful song. Sarah basically wrote it for all those artists and people who died from drug overdoses. If you really read through the lyrics, you can understand what kind of escape and release she's talking about, and how it's so sad that people can find such peace in such sadness. An inherently sad but extremely beautiful piece of music.

Sarah McLachlan – I Will Remember You Lyrics 22 years ago
This song probably takes after the proverb that states "The only thing worse than regretting something you did, is regretting something you didn't", in this case, regretting that you didn't grab the love that you could've once had, and reminiscing about the lost opportunity.

Sarah McLachlan – Full Of Grace Lyrics 22 years ago
This song brings to mind what it's like for lovers in a rut. The words speak volumes about how hard it is when 2 people drift apart because their love is being stifled, finally ending in separation.

Sarah McLachlan – Do What You Have To Do Lyrics 22 years ago
I think it's about the tumultuous effort of breaking up when your brain says you should, but your heart doesn't want to let go.

Sarah McLachlan – Hold On Lyrics 22 years ago
Well, when I first head it, I thought it was about a woman whose man was leaving her, and she was having a hard time coming to terms with it, but she didn't want to stop him because she loved him so. But I recently found out that Sarah McLachlan was originally wrote it about a woman who's husband was dying of AIDS, and because Sarah was inspired by her strength, she penned this song.
