Maybe, just maybe it's a Passion song. Look at it the way as follows: the "long supper without you" makes you think about funeral banquet of course, but also it brings The Last Supper. Of course, The Last Supper was a supper with Him (Jesus Christ), but there had to be another one "without Him" on Good Friday, after Christ was crucified and buried. Then look at it from St.Mary's, His Mother's, point of view, but the way like if it happened now, not almost 2000 years ago. Well, when She answered "yes" to the arcangel, when he offered her a role of God's Mother, she was kind to him. But now She thinks it was also cruel, because She knew her Son was destined for martyrdom, so She may feel guilty somehow. She feels sorry She agreed to give birth to Him. Now she gets a ride on the bicycle, like she rides the tricycle - she wants to feel like a little girl again (tricycle = children's bike?), like She did before "everything happened. She sees "the sun in the trees", so it's an evening. And she feels "the psychedelic breeze" - as usual "psychodelic" is associated with drugs, but in fact means just something like "consciousness-expanding". Would it be a blasphemy, if we interpret "the psychedelic breeze" as Holy Spirit? It would explain the not-so-sad mood of the song: now She already senses what's gonna happen next (Resurrection). What do you think?

My Interpretation

Oh, I forgot: the people She was feared of, and now "all seem worthless" to Her, might be pharisees, or maybe also Herod, who She once escaped from. Now she's not feared of them. First, because they have done all they could already, they cannot do anything more. Second, since she's inspired by Holy Spirit again, She knows they're nothing but a bunch of helpless ingorants.
