Imo, this song is about how their lives are slipping them by. They CONSTANTLY reference time/days "flying by", or "sliding on". My inferred belief is that the song is about concerts they have in July, as the whole first section of the song; "I'm on pure momentum"; momentum is the buildup before energy is released; he's talking about how he's excited for tonight and how he loves to see his fans having fun while listening to their music. However, he says in the chorus "Watching you dancing and having the time of your life", and it references one of the most relatable feelings musicians have. They feel as if they just want to let go and go to another bands concert and just have fun, but they cant because they have their own concert to preform.
