Lyric discussion by theantisk

Was listening to this the other day. Given the timing I would posit that this is about serial killer/foot and shoe fetishist Jerry Brudos. He was active around 1969, the right time for this lyric to have been conceived.

This sounds like the most plausible interpretation of the lyrics. It makes much more sense than any of the other attempts at discerning the meaning of the lyrics.

This seems on the money. In support of this theory, other songs on the album are inspired by dark events. "Transmaniacon MC" - stabbing at Altamont music fest. "I'm On The Lamb", a fugitive pursued in Canada. I don't think the seemless lead-in to this tune by "Screams" is unintentional, either. A better theory I haven't heard yet.

@theantisk Yes, he must have been stalking the woman in the song, "she heard somebody say the other day." "Tasted like a fallen arch" refers to the foot fetish as well. "Don't put your tooth on the bloody tooth mark place" because her face is changing to red and white, like a guernsey cow. In other words, the killer is keeping her around and has to remind himself not to ingest the bacteria and whatnot from the wound on her face. Pretty gross stuff!
