After becoming a father, these lines really hit me emotionally:

Remember your daddy When no one was wiser Your ma used to say That you would go further than he ever could With time on your side

It makes me think of how you idolize your father, you love him ("no one was wiser"). And yet your mother is telling you that you would go futher than he could - kind of uplifting for the child, yet kind of sad.

I know my sons love me very much, but there will be that time when hugging me and kisssing me and laying in my lap will not be cool. Or realize that I am just another guy - not any better or worse than anyone else. I can live with that - but I'll keep trying to hug them for the rest of my life. :)
