There seems to be a lot of frustration in the repetition of "doing it on my own, doing it alone" as if he is trying to convince himself that the mark he leaves on the world is somehow bigger than himself...as if he is trying to leave behind a legacy, yet beggs the question; what is the purpose if he is doing it all alone?
