In my opinion this song is about a woman that broke up with the singer, even though the singer is still in love with her, and he has no idea why she's ended it. He's trying to move on by not thinking about her but everyday he is reminded of her by things like washing powder that she used or the perfume that she wears and it really hurts him to think of her and of how lonely he now is. he wants to get back together with her but she has already found someone else and has nothing to offer him anymore. She has changed but he still loves her, regardless.
