This song is my favorite off the Prospekt's March EP. It's actually quite different from the original "Lovers in Japan," though not a people notice the difference. Not only does the Osaka Sun Mix have more piano and drum backing as well as a vocal interlude between the two main verses, the song just sounds happier. If you listen to the original Lovers in Japan and listen to the Osaka Sun Mix immediately after, you can hear a difference. The Osaka Sun Mix is more energetic. The drum and bass line is more prominent, creating that "drive" that moves the song along. It has a very positive "we can do this!" feel to it. I imagine this song being about an army deserter who left the ranks because he was at war with himself. He didn't believe in the cause he was fighting for, so he left. He acknowledges that times are hard, but he knows that "one day, we're going to get out." One day, things will be good again. The Osaka Sun Mix reinforces this core belief with that happy, bouncy rhythm while the regular Lovers in Japan seems resigned in a way, like the downhearted people are preparing for a fight to make things good again.

My Opinion
