Like for example, if there is a bomb attack, a news person would read "... which has resulted in 150 citizens dead, and 2 police", which is very vague, and doesn't address each and every person who has died in detail, because evidently they can't. Where as, if there was for example, a car accident, everything is in a lot more detail and a lot more personal, where they would go into details...
