It's in how someone who cares about us views us, and how we in turn are able to see them in ourselves. It can keep us young and it can help us to pass the same feelings on to others who are close to us. There is so much to benefit from the right relationship and the only way to find it is to try it. Don't be afraid, go out and ask it. I wrote these lyrics about feelings that were given back to me from someone who came into my life almost unexpectedly. In the good I found in them, and the good they saw in me that I had lost sight of. They reminded me that the love I keep for myself is the love I can give back to them and others, and I am not afraid of it anymore. A lot of the song uses movie and film script analogies to convey the surreal experiences that come with falling into a friend, and falling into music as well. Life like the movies translates literally into the Movielife, a band and soundtrack we each shared growing up attending shows and playing in bands around the bay area." --The ending dialog was taken from a poem Matt had written, addressing concerns of taking a chance on something new and the hopeful, possibility of defeating those doubts and forming a life long kinship in the process.--
