Cover art for Gloomy Sunday lyrics by Sarah Brightman

yup its all true. you should watch the actual movie gloomy sunday. it wasnt just a few people. it was more like 157 or something like that. when this song was originally recorded it was only piano and had no lyrics. the pianist played at a local restaurant and people came from all over to hear the song only to later commit suicide. it was said that the song needed no words, that when you heard it, it spoke to you. it only made it pleasant for those who were already unhappy with themselves to actually go through with it. after the suicides the writer couldnt deal with the pressure, everyone calling him a murderer. He later added lyrics to the song. You should see the struggle and the meaning behind it. His death is unexpected, but at the same time you could see it coming because you could see how he chages every time he plays it or hears it. Its like it calls to him, takes a piece of him with it. violins and such were added later and thats how it sounds more like the versions you hear today... but nothing compares to the original which i still cannot find. Its beautiful.
