i think that this relates directly to the book choke by chuck palahniukauthor of fight club...in the book the main character basically just goes around and chokes on food in public and lives off the money he gets from the people that save him...this sounds like a stunt like that gone wrong...i think it is also commenting on the testing of poisionous gasses and shit...
