i think what he s gettin at here is this girl is suppose to to be the ultimate cure to his needs. he not only needs a lover, but also a good friend, a mother (nurturer) and a father figure that will check him when he fucks up. Im a guy, and i think whether we know it or not, we want our girlfirends to be more than our lovers, but our mothers as well. We need that loving, caring, conforting element in our lives that only women can provide. Face it..if we didnt have loving women, we would self destruct. our parents dont last forever, but the love that our lovers provide makes up for all of that. That love takes its place, and we can feel all the different kinds of love towards one person when we have a lover in our life.
