i just wanted to note that people from belgium and the netherlands (speaking flemish and dutch which is the same difference as american and brittish english, so actually the same) speak english pretty well. We are exposed to the language from a very young age through music and films. We always use subtitels and never dub, which means, from the moment we start watching tv, we are exposed to the language, which means it comes quite natural to most of us. Hooverphonic does not just scramble words together, they can however be somewhat freaky ;)
