to me, the song is about how there are so many pressing problems in this country, yet many of them remain unchanged. I feel like polluting the environment is one that they're really poking at in the chorus and in the line "I'm on this groove to soothe this wrinkled face of earth revolving". People buying into the propoganda the gov't spews out, history repeating itself, all that good stuff. I might be wrong though.
