I think if it was only about 'suicide', the guy would have been more explicit. Its deliberately ambiguous. The song title itself, 'Hours of wealth' implies something positive; so even if its about suicide, it sure as hell got nothing to do with the devil; really dunno wat u guys are on about.
My two cents: the song's bout escape, figuratively speaking. Running away from the things that cause him pain; 'fever' is disease caused by external influence. I like to think that its escape from the norm; people and their habits. He hides behind windows; tries to 'recognize' people instead of merely speaking to them.; he doesn't want to be a drone anymore. Also, he is in darkness, because people have become so addicted to habits that when they finally find themselves alone, they realize how empty they actually are.
But he will find purpose again. He will 'rediscover' himself, and arise once more.
I mean come on. Suicide? Devils? Satan even? So pessimistic. Song has a real jazzy feel as well, arguably, to help supplement that feeling of escape.
