I LOVE THIS SONG! I fell in love with it the first time I heard it. I think it's talking about someone who's lost someone they love, either by death, or if in lovers relationship, by breaking up. "Wash away the thoughts inside that keep my mind away from you." They don't want to think about anybody or anything except for the one they love and lost. It's so sad and so powerful.
