The first few entries are hillarious. "Not a suicide" "It's only him giving in"... It is only him giving up and hiding behind a wall... but what do you think suicide is? It isn't somebody just saying "Hey, today's a beautiful day to die, isn't it?" Suicide is somebody "finally giving in (and up)" to dispair. Suicide is hiding behind a wall there's no re-entrance from. I think the closest people were Mahakala and Criticq. If you've seen the movie, you've also seen a few things that WOULD point to it being a suicide note. Remember it doesn't have to be successful to be an attempted suicide. First and most obviously is "Pink" floating face down in pool with blood on the water. And also the fact that his character HAD just given in completely and would have offed himself if the manager hadn't come in and forced him back on stage.

Yeah, yeah suicide is bad and Pink Floyd is good and only true fans would see it's not a suicide note... and all that other b/s. Realistically if you look at the bands reaction to this album and take into account that Waters was pretty much bottomed out then you'd see it probably was a suicide note... But just a note. Some people's morals get in the way before they can finish the act. Also think about the idea that this was one of the most heart-felt albums by Pink Floyd. Roger Waters put his soul into these songs. According to him he was "faced with a decision" and "The Wall was the picture I drew for myself to help me make that choice."
