I'm a soldier deployed to Afghanistan. The first time I heard this song it was played at a ceremony for a friend of mine that was lost on October 27th and I cried more than I can ever remember criying in my life. Now everytime I hear it I tear up. It also has alot of meaning to me cause everything it says is exactly how I feel. I'll leave this post with this qoute I found, I just can't remember who said it.
"We must never forget that freedom is never really free. It is the most costly thing in the world, and freedon is never paid in a lump sum. Installments come due in every generation. All any of us can do is offer the generations that follow a chance for freedom."
