The first time I heard this song, it really close to home. Having just pulled out of downward spiral like a fighter pilot on his way to doom, I had spent/lost/gained days/weeks/months to a flurry of life; entwined with a girl who didn't love me but I couldn't let go of and drugs that hated me as much as I needed them. Reality leaves and mundane things are forgotten, you are so bored with the everyday you strive to make an adventure of the everynite. Your ultimate goal is to lose yourself in the moment, once that moment is over you feel emptier than ever & reach for a hand to hold. She is there, but for every comforting minute she gives you 18 more reasons to lose yourself again. The vicious cycle, the downward spiral. I guess I emerged ok, a little disoriented with my life in a mess, but it coulda been worse. would I trade the time for anything else? what do you think?
