i really like this song. as with all their songs, it sounds so honest. but i dont understand it. in most of their songs, they sound like they're understanding and empathizing with whomever the song is about. but in this one, he almost sounds like he's saying "too bad its your problem sux to be you." especially with that line "and when you dream 17, I ain't there so I don't care. Cuz in all my dreams, I'm 23, and she's the girl right next to me." Like he's telling her harshly to move on and get over him, because he's moved on already. but then hat doesnt fit in with the last part where he runs back to her. i dunno. maybe he's talking about his past when he talks about the 17/23 thing, and then he realizes that after trying to shake her off for so long, in the end he needs her anyway. bittersweet, i dunno,
