I believe this song is about true love...corny as it seems, that's what I think. I'm not talking about a fairytale love, but one where you have to sacrifice. It's like when you love someone so much, but the timing is so wrong, and you feel as if the timing is ALWAYS wrong. When you used to be able to depict every little thing until it finally gets to the point where odd ends just don't meet. You know that they really care, but it frusterates you when they show everything BUT love. You know that you love each other, but everything between the two of you just doesn't fit, and you constantly find yourself asking "why?" You wonder how it got this far, and realize that YOU brought it this far. You wanted it, and it's so over-whelming that you have no clue what to do. So you find yourself apart from one another, just to be together again. Is it ever enough? When are you not capable of not handling anymore. And if it is too much to handle, why do you persist on more? It hurts when you know that this could be it. This could be your last goodbye, but maybe it's the best for the both of you. Don't set yourself up for something you don't want, even if you're constantly questioning it. This song is basically about all the "what ifs" of a relationship. It's reality...and reality is telling me that this a really great song. Believe every word that it says. Think of it as...therapy.

@am_I_dumbstruck My mind went: "oh yeahhhh!' as I read this, well said man! My take is that, while I totally agree with that perferct description "......everything between the two of you just doesn't fit,...", does it says the lady in this song consciously doesn't care (for whatever reason there is) or just too naive? Just asking.. :)

You are right on! You said everything I was thinking! Had this song in my head all day yesterday and again today. Thank you. now I can move on!
