Very nice song, love the country jig sound at the end XD. I think this is about a guy who is in a point in his life where he doesn't care too much about anything and he is a bit lonely. There is a girl that he likes though, but she is just causing more problems than she is worth "you said you're coming back, well I'm sorry that you did" could be a reference to the fact that he is friendly with this girl but the fact that she is going to come back into his life is bad for him because he realises that as much as he loves her she will never love him. Overall he is just an indecisive, lonely, apathetic man and leaves his life to chance to avoid making important decisions (the 8-ball).
