I just left my baby girl a message
Said I won't be coming home
I'd rather be alone
She doesn't fully understand me
Cos I'd rather leave than to cheat
If she gives me some time
I could be the man she needs
But there's a lot of lust inside of me
And we've been together since our teenage years
I really don't me to hurt her
But I need some time to be alone

Cos when you love someone
You just don't treat them bad
Oh how I feel so sad
Now that I wanna leave
She's crying her heart to me
How could you let this be?
I just need time to see
Where I wanna be (x2)

Never did I imagine
That you would play a major part
In a decision that's so hard
Do I leave? Do I stay? Do I go?
I think about my life
And what matters to me the most
Girl, the love that we share is real
But in time your heart will heal
I'm not saying I'm gone but I
have to find what life is like
Without you

But when you love someone
you just don't treat them bad
Oh how I feel so sad
now that I wanna leave
She's crying her heart to me
How could you let this be
I just need time to see
Where I wanna be (x2)

I dont mean to hurt you baby

Said when you love someone
you just don't treat them bad
Oh how I feel so sad
now that I wanna leave
She's crying her heart to me
How could you let this be
I just need time to see
Where I wanna be
(x3)
Where I wanna be

I'm sorry baby

This song speaks for itself... I'm going through something like this right now and its like, it's like how do you do the right thing, she wants you but You know it can't be. You know it's not right to be treated badly or treat her bad... but your heart loves her... it wants to stay despite reality... It doesn't want to hurt her by leaving. But it's the best path to take. So confusing.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
