Floating (inatankofhatredfuel) with nowhere to hide
unspoken (10000thousandthoughtsanhourandrising) twist back inside

How did we get here

Life don't belong here

Feel like I just never tried
to find a way back to the outside
it stops me from breathing
kills all the dreaming

TALKING TO YOU FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF A WALL
IN MY MIND AND IT'S CLEAR THAT YOU'RE NEAR TO ME.
THINK I FOUND A WAY TO UNDERSTAND WHY I COULDN'T SEE WHAT
WAS HAPPENING THE FEAR OVERCAME ME.TOOK A TRIP ON THE INSIDE
I TOOK A TRIP ON THE INSIDE I TRY TO HOLD ON 'TIL THIS FEELING
IS GONE.BREAK THROUGH TO THE OTHER SIDE NEED TO BREAK THROUGH
TO THE OTHER SIDE OF EVERYTHING...

I just can't lay down and die
it takes a lifetime to understand why
it seems that you need me
but you don't seem to hear me

Talking to you from the other side of a
wall...sickshitsickshitsickshitsickshitsickshitsick shit....

yeah,i found it too as barriers, but its the song that made me fall inlove with anathema..its always pushing me forward,so that no matter how much i find this piece of shit life too fucking hard to live,i listen to this song and calms me down... it has this great deal of energy, giving you the idea that there is someone, anyone that cares about you and that person is worth live for...no matter what happens in your own life...

Correct title is Barriers. I think it's along the same line as Floyd's the wall. Meaning a barrier between himself and others (talking to you from the other side of a wall in my mind), sort of an anxiety thing (the fear overcame me) and his struggle to overcome it (I just can't lay down and die). That's the impression I get anyway.

    (Breaking Over The) Barriers

Floating with nowhere to hide Unspoken twist back inside

How did we get here? Life don't belong here

Feel like I just never tried To find a way back to the outside It stops me from breathing Kills all the dreaming

Talking to you from the other side of a wall in my mind And it's clear that you're near to me I think I found a way to understand why I couldn't see what was happening The fear overcame me Took a trip on the inside, I took a trip on the inside I try to hold on until this feeling is gone Break through to the other side, I need to break through to the other side Of everything that is hurting you

I just can't lay down and die It takes a lifetime to understand why It seems that you're near me But you don't seem to hear me

    My Interpretation

Continuing the album history.. In this one the main character speak to someone maybe a love.. or maybe he speaks to all the world... and after the begin of the search of catharsis in "underworld" now looks like he has felt in a dream and ask for someone who can hear his thoughts because he begin to realise that he is trapped in his mind and maybe the fear is taking over his mind

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
