Have you nothing to contribute? Have you nothing to contribute? Have you nothing to contribute to a discussion on which depends the world civilization, perhaps? perhaps even our very existence?]

I know everything is never much
But the sound of the sound you heard was serious
So take back everything you ever got
Cause this is the future that
That never was

Right
That's right

[I never would have imagined it would be anything like this]
Right
[I never would have imagined it would be anything like this]

The page has turned around from what it was
So maybe I'll hate you now just because
The burden is tiresome and has become
The same as the future that
That never was

Right
That's right

[I never would have imagined it would be anything like this]
Right
[I never would have imagined it would be anything like this]

The dream that you dreamed about
It never came
Step back and look around
Now who's to blame
Your voice is weaker now
It's just a buzz
That sounds like the future that
That never was

This song put me to sleep once, listening to it. It sounds kinda industrial, in a cosmic sense at first, which is a side I like about powerman 5000. And then gets nice and peaceful.

Beautiful. Seems to be about how, as a society, we just keep going backwards instead of forward

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
