"Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" as written by John Winston Lennon and Paul James Mccartney....
It was twenty years ago today
Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play
They've been going in and out of style
But they're guaranteed to raise a smile

So may I introduce to you
The act you've known for all these years
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

We're Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
We hope you will enjoy the show
We're Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Sit back and let the evening go

Sgt. Pepper's lonely, Sgt. Pepper's lonely
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
It's wonderful to be here
It's certainly a thrill
You're such a lovely audience
We'd like to take you home with us
We'd love to take you home

I don't really like to stop the show
But I thought that you might like to know
That the singer's going to sing a song
And he wants you all to sing along

So let me introduce to you
The one and only Billy Shears
And Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

General CommentToo bad the other Beales didn't want to go along with Paul's idea of a pretend band (Sgt. Pepper's L H C Band)
Maybe they would have come up with some other great songs.

    General CommentTwo explanations Cassanova

#1 The more believable explanation is that Billy Shears is just the persona that Ringo took for the mock band called Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

#2 This is the explanation used by Paul Is Dead believers. The supposed name of the Paul-lookalike that took Paul's place after his "death" was William (Billy) Campbell. What the Paul Is Dead believers believed that Billy Shears is a play on the phrase "Billy's Here", meaning that William Campbell is here now and taking the place of Paul.

General CommentWell, I came up with my own Billy Shears theory today.... I think it's original ( at least it is for me) anyway. William = Will = Billy Shakespeare could = Shears.... It's a very long shot, but Billy Shears = Will Shakespeare, would be a cool reference, just an idea
