Sucker love is heaven sent
You pucker up, our passion's spent
My heart's a tart, your body's rent
My body's broken, yours is spent

Carve your name into my arm
Instead of stressed I lie here charmed
'Cause there's nothing else to do
Every me and every you

Sucker love a box I choose
No other box I choose to use
Another love I would abuse
No circumstances could excuse

In the shape of things to come
Too much poison, come undone
'Cause there's nothing else to do
Every me and every you
Every me and every you
Every me

Sucker love, who's known to swing
Prone to cling and waste these things
Pucker up for heaven's sake
There's never been so much at stake

I serve my head up on a plate
It's only comfort, calling late
'Cause there's nothing else to do
Every me and every you
Every me and every you
Every me

Every me and every you
Every me

Like the naked leads the blind
I know I'm selfish, I'm unkind
Sucker love, I always find
Someone to bruise and leave behind

All alone in space and time
There's nothing here, but what here's mine?
Something borrowed, something blue
Every me and every you
Every me and every you
Every me

Every me and every you
Every me

Every me and every you
Every me

Every me and every you
Every me

Every me and every you
Every me

Every me and every you
Every me

Sucker love is heaven sent -- Maybe an element of sarcasm there You pucker up, our passion's spent -- Before things even begin it's gone. Like, you're just getting ready to kiss me, and there's just nothing there... No reason, no point, no attraction. (Or I've had you so many times that there's nothing to it anymore) My heart's a tart, your body's rent -- I've been emotionally around the block, while you've been around physically My body's broken, yours is bent -- I can no longer properly function, while you have been used so many times you just retain the same form, you never change, never alter. Always the same.

Carve your name into my arm -- Maybe trying to make the love permanent this time Instead of stressed, I lie here charmed -- self-defication leaves me feeling like I haven't a care in the world... instead of worrying about the relationship, I have this entrancing and euphoric outlook on things. Cuz there's nothing else to do -- After this experience, I'm doing all that I can Every me and every you -- We're the same in opposite ways

Sucker love, a box I choose -- This is the kind of love I always find No other box I choose to use -- This is where I feel comfortable, this is the type of relationship I feel I need to be in. Another love I would abuse -- In an inherently healthy relationship, I would somehow screw it up. No circumstances could excuse -- That is an invariable outcome, so it's better if everything is screwed up to begin with

In the shape of things to come -- The future is already taking form, it's already showing signs of every other relationship I've been in Too much poison come undone -- It eventually gets so bad that it falls apart Cuz there's nothing else to do -- I can't change the situation, so I won't try Every me and every you -- This is just the way we are Every me -- I am contributing more to the failure of this relationship than you are

Sucker love is known to swing -- This love doesn't last, it moves on to the next one down the line. Prone to cling and waste these things -- I always become too attatched and ruin what it really is Pucker up for heaven's sake -- The passion is here in this moment There's never been so much at stake -- We have to take this opportunity before we lose it forever

I serve my head up on a plate -- I'm telling you exactly what I'm thinking It's only comfort, calling late -- My level of comfort in this situation is the only thing that still doesn't exist.

Like the naked leads the blind -- When you know you're enjoyed by something to an extent of annoyance, you go to those who can not recognize that trait I know I'm selfish, I'm unkind -- Kind of sarcastic in a way, like that's what he knows they think... I take advantage of you and then disappear... but that's not actually what I think I'm doing Sucker love I always find -- This kind of unhealthy and fake love is always at hand Someone to bruise and leave behind -- I find a new person, elude myself into believing I love them, and then brutally leave

All alone in space and time -- In the end, I'm completely alone... I have no one. There's nothing here, but what here's mine? -- There's nothing here for me. Nothing I can find that satisfies what I need. But what can I take from this situation? Something borrowed, something blue -- All I really want is love Every me and every you -- This will just continue to happen

Basically, the guy compulsively uses people, believing at the height of the moment that he's in love, but once all is said and done, realizes he's not, and continues his search for the next one down the line. The true sadness is that all he really wants is to actually find love, and that's the one thing he never gets. "All alone in space and time" The poor man is alone and... it's just absolutely tragic. This song is depressing. Great, but depressing. And he doesn't want to hurt these people. He just does. Because he's incapable of loving the type of people he's attracted to.

That's my in depth proposal, at least...

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
