Got a picture of you I carry in my heart
Close my eyes to see it when the world gets dark
Got a memory of you I carry in my soul
I wrap it close around me when the nights get cold

And if you ask me how I'm doing, I'd say just fine
But the truth is baby if you could read my mind

Not a day goes by that I don't think of you
After all this time you're still with me it's true
Somehow you remain, locked so deep inside
Baby, baby, oh baby
Not a day goes by

I still wait for the phone in the middle of the night
Thinking you might call me if your dreams don't turn out right
And it still amazes me that I lie here in the dark
Wishing you were next to me with your head against my heart

And if you ask me how I'm doing, I'd say just fine
But the truth is baby if you could read my mind

Not a day goes by that I don't think of you
And after all this time you're still with me it's true
Somehow you remain, locked so deep inside
Baby, baby, oh baby
Not a day goes by

Minutes turn to hours and the hours to days
Seems it's been forever that I've felt this way

Not a day goes by that I don't think of you
After all this time you're still with me it's true, oh
Somehow you remain, locked so deep inside
Baby, baby, oh baby
Not a day goes by

That I don't think of you

To me, its this guy who I love so much, and I can't stop thinking about but I can'y be with because he's not ready. I have all the memories of us together that I look back on everyday. I've liked this guy since I met him and that was almost a year ago, now all I can think of is him. I'm still right here waiting for him to feel ready and it doesn't go away. As much as he knows I love him, he has no idea how I feel.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
