This song as told to us in Kmax's book from 2001, "Unfinished Work", was inspired by some acquaintances made in the past who were dabbling in some crazy stuff, elements which conflicted with Kmax's way of living. i.e. the occult. the song's background could represent the fast pace that the mind and heart takes in conflicting with the spirit.
It's fascinating to read that, especially since it was what I guessed that the song was about; to me it sounds very much like someone who was becoming involved in wicca or the occult, someone in danger of demonization.
