Midnights in winter
The glowing fire
Lights up your face in orange and gold
I see your sweet smile
Shine through the darkness
It's line is etched in my memory
So I'd know you by heart

Mornings in April
Sharing the secrets
We'd walk on till the morning was gone
We were like children
Laughing for hours
The joy you gave me
Lives on and on
'Cause I know you by heart

I still hear your voice
On warm summer nights
Whispering like the wind

Ohhh, ohhhh, ohhhhh, ohhhh

You left in autumn
The leaves were turning
I walked down roads of orange and gold
I saw your sweet smile
I heard your laughter
You're still here beside me
Everyday
'Cause I know you by heart
'Cause I know you by heart

I assumed it was about a death. Reminds me of Sarah McLachlan's "Wintersong". Both of the songs are great and so very sad.

Love it when the "Mornings in April" part comes in... :)

As the melody jogs up and down and her voice moves forward and back, I can hardly sing along. As I try to, I become weepy like a widow 'cause I know some people by heart too.

Oh I do love this song ~ I think its about realising you love someone throughout all the seasons evem though they have gone many years ago, and remembering all the good times you both shared "whispering like the wind" just goes to show how everything reminds her pf him. sweet song x

    My Interpretation

I indeed believe it is about death - her own. I think that many of her songs were Eva singing to the Eva who has passed. They were timeless songs which we mortals could sing to her and mean every word. What a gift God gave us, even for a brief moment and, what gifts she has left us to remember her by.

    Song Meaning

The amazing artistry of Eva Cassidy: this is an extremely emotional song. It reminds me of missing family or an "empty nest", perhaps with some tragic undercurrent to it.

    Memory

When I hear this song, I think of my husband. He passed away in April 2004. The words, "Mornings in April; Sharing the secrets" really hits home for me. "I still hear your voice, On warm summer nights, Whispering like the wind." So many memories...I miss you, Kenny...so very much...

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
