I AIN'T LIKE YOU!

And I don't want your love.
And I don't need your respect.
I just can't hate enough but I got no tears or regrets.

I ain't like you
I will never live like you and you will never walk the path I do.
I will never be like you and I'll never be a part of your society of lies and fools.
I will never live like you.
I will never walk the path you do.
I am your wasted youth so...
Fuck you and society too 'cause my kind just ain't like you.

Yeah, I'm a King of Nothing,
'cause nothing's what I am and nowhere is where I'll be.
But I'd rather be a king of nothing than a servant in a sick society
'cause pretty little children playing pretty little games
in their pretty little worlds is all I've ever seen.
You've never felt my pain
And I just gotta say to your face I ain't like you.

I will never live like you
And you will never walk my path so...
Fuck you and your society too.

Once again I'm a King of Nothing,
'cause nothing's what I am and nowhere is where I'll be.
I'm a nowhere man from Nowhere, U.S.A.
It's a dead end street near you.
They broke my heart, they stole my soul and why?
I'll never know.
I'm exiled from all of you so...
Fuck you and the whole world too 'cause I will never live like you.

If you don't like it... you can suck my dick.

This one is for all those religious fuckers who are trying to cut off the only fun we are having. This ones for the anti-drug and anti-fuck pro-education missionary's telling us that our lives suck and our fun is actually "evil" fuck you and if you dont like it you can suck my dick

"STILLFUCKEDUP", i think you misinterpreted the song.

Many of those religious people you speak of (and i think you're referring to Christians) feel the way this song speaks. Have you ever seen Appalachia or the deep south? That's Nowhere, USA.

well, i think STILLFUCKEDUp talks about the straight-edge people - but certainly their attitude isn´t based on religious thoughts...so...you should better look it up...

I'm straightedge and blood for blood is by far my favorite band, I think it has more of a message than just OH FUCK YEA GET DRUNK, which is in alot of the songs but it's more about saying fuck you to the people who have held you down, that you're not like them and never will be

This song, like most of the songs Lind has written, is another one about his own experiences growing up, seeing what he's seen, and living the life he was born into. The world, as a whole, doesn't recognize that kind of issue, especially America, who would prefer to not see throngs of wasted individuals trying to find answers and meaning in it's own backyard.

This song really speaks to me and a lot of my friends. I'm in the military and it's forced me to see a lot of things I'd rather not have seen. But because of that, many of us military people feel detached from society. I look at everyone else in the world and know that I can't relate to them in any way because they haven't experienced anything to the severity that many of my colleagues and I have. This song expresses how I feel, I LOVE IT!

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
