'bout that shack outside La Grange
and you know what I'm talkin' about.
Just let me know if you wanna go
to that home out on the range.
They gotta lotta nice girls.
A haw, haw, haw, haw, a haw.
A haw, haw, haw.
and the ten to get yourself in.
A hmm, hmm.
And I hear it's tight most ev'ry night,
but now I might be mistaken.
hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm.

Love ZZ Top.
Did you ever see the musical "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas"? The musical is based on an acutal whorehouse that was in La Grange, TX. They called it the chicken ranch because that is how some customers paid for "services". There were chickens running all over the place at one point. lol

I live about 10 minute drive from La Grange, TX. My relatives have told me a few stories about the Chicken Ranch. My aunt even has a token from the Chicken Ranch that has something written on it like "$20 Token, All Night Special" or at least something to that effect. If it was not for the senile TV reporter Marvin Zindler the "Ranch" would have probably stayed open a lot longer.

Poor whores.
In all seriousness, though, the fact that these old men can still rock a song about a whorehouse is admirable. Rock on ZZ Top.

Possibly the easiest song in the world to get stuck in your head, I think the meaning of this one's pretty clear =op

i love it! too fun. everytime i go dancing around the living room but then again i need a life. lol neways, yeah this song kicks ass

Its kinda funny. I live about 2 hrs away from La Grange, TX and I've gone through La Grange a lot of times, especially now that it is on my way to college but I never really listened to what this song was saying, I just liked the guitar and figured that it was a coincidence that ZZ Top had a song with the same name of the town. Well anyways, I always knew there used to be a whorehouse in La Gange but I never put these two thoughts together and looked up the lyrics until tonight. Now i feel kind of stupid becuase I never knew such a famous song was written about a town I am familiar with.
@RuebenP70 I have spent nearly 12 years sitting here smiling and nodding over what a truly wonderful and inspiring story you have told us here.

I go to a Catholic school in VA. I guess i'll sing this song with my chums during a religion class or something. Maybe the teacher will pick it up.

This is the jam. I had the chance to see ZZ Top in concert and let me tell you its better in person.
Rock on!

I never knew this song was about that untill i read the lyrics I used to think the whole song was like: haw haw
@haloshade Me too!!! That's funny... I heard the Geico ad and didn't get the meaning, only the haw haw... Now I get it.
