Have you heard about the funeral, my friend? a victims short life, was forced to an end no pallbearers, guests, no service to speak of, just tears of frustration from a force to kill the love. In a short time, so much said and done late night calls on the phone, love songs at dawn we’ve barely hugged goodbye, and I wont just sit and cry. Instead what could've been love, I must now force to die Death of a feeling, loss of a friend, I wonder if we'll ever meet again (repeat 3x) will we ever meet again......... I must spend my time wisely, Ive got no time to just sit and cry I didnt want to have to force this feeling to die..... Death of a feeling, loss of a friend I wonder if we'll ever meet again. We will never meet again.

Great song. Only problem is that big guitar riff after "will we ever meet again" It just doesnt fit.

ooops my bad - its a coincidence though

Static X has a song called 'Kill Your Idols' & A Static Lullaby has a song called 'We Go To Eleven' with the lyrics Kill Your Idols in it

by the way Sonic Youth also has a song called 'Kill Your idols"

I believe its a popular phrase that originates in the bible. Perhaps when the people all worshiped idols and Abraham declared there was only one God and he smashed the idols.

Kill Your Idols is better then all the aformentioned bands, and also there is a book series called Kill Your Idols, but im not exactly sure where they got their name from. This song is so awesome, and that riff is crazy it definitly doesnt belong, but still sounds awesome.

ASL are ass hogs, they say "before you kill your idols, kiss them good night." Why the hell would I want to kiss Kill Your Idols, they are dudes and I don't think any of them are pretty dudes either. Anyways, KYI is the best, everyone needs to know this and live by such a principal.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.
