I love how the story builds up. It's such an emotional song that I wouldn't wish to happen to anybody.
The song is self explanatory. The protagonist has his suspicions that his partner is cheating on him and he finds out that she is. But the way the song is written and portrayed is very powerful. Quotes like "what I really feel, my eyes won't let me hide ... cos they always start to cry" and "lately I've been staring in the mirror, very slowly picking me apart ... trying to tell myself I have a reason, with your heart" are exceptional. In my opinion, it is a very underrated song!!!

this is such an amazing song. honestly, i like the way RJ sings it. he puts POWER and real meaning into it (not that stevie doesn't) .. but RJ's voice is great.
anyway. this song... is beautifully written. &the progression is superb.

Nobody wants to be a situation like that. It's a sad song.
its all about a relationship on a verge of extinction.
i love how stevie uses the sense of sight in so many of his songs even though he is blind. it makes you think that maybe sight isn't always the way we generally see it.
